HomePlanet Blasts Off! Small Town, Big Premiere

Qikfinger Films' new release, HomePlanet, a taut sci-fi drama, premiered at the Miller Theater outside of KC near Napoleon, MO where the film was shot.

At the request of Napoleon’s City Council, Qikfinger Films launched HomePlanet with its stellar cast in attendance: Dan Daly, Jamie Campbell, Robert Coppage III, Scott Cordes, Michelle Daugharthy, Dawn Linneman, Emery Daugharthy, and Casey Jane (absent), before the community who helped to create it.

“For the premiere we went big,” said the HomePlanet’s Director, Andrew Pritzker. “With a laser projection theater and 7.1 sound. The crowd was completely engaged. You could hear a pin drop.”

Following it’s mid-November release, HomePlanet will host a second premiere in Kansas City as it begins it’s 2025 festival run.

“There’s nothing like a live audience,” said Pritzker. “It’s honest, electric, and so immediate. For filmmakers the live audience is a test by fire but it’s so worth it. It’s real cinema. That's the point. That's why we do it. ”
